Visit of the Delegation from Maria Curie-Skłodowska University (Lublin, Poland) to the Faculty of Law

From 14 to 18 March 2026, within the framework of an interuniversity cooperation memorandum, the Faculty of Law of Tbilisi State University and the National Center for Alternative Dispute Resolution hosted a delegation from the Faculty of Law of Maria Curie-Skłodowska University (Lublin, Poland), consisting of the Dean, Professor Jarosław Kostrubiec, and Professors Agata Przyłępa-Lewak and Katarzyna Hanas.

This visit may be regarded as a significant milestone in deepening cooperation between the two universities.

The agenda encompassed the strengthening of institutional collaboration, the promotion of research internationalization, the implementation of joint scientific projects, the enhancement of academic and research mobility, the expansion of partnerships within the Erasmus+ framework, as well as the modernization and development of academic programs.

A central component of the visit was a series of public lectures designed for students, mediators, and legal practitioners. The lectures addressed a range of contemporary and pressing issues, including the role of artificial intelligence in judicial proceedings and its impact on the transformation of the legal profession, institutional models of mediation in a comparative legal context, and the conventional regulation of international child abduction alongside the dilemmas faced by courts.

This visit constitutes a solid foundation for long-term partnership, aimed at consolidating the academic potential of both universities and reinforcing their roles within the international educational landscape.
